Ultra-Conservative Ex- Legislator J.A. Kast Elected as Chile's Next Head of State.
In a decisive final ballot, hardline politician José Antonio Kast has clinched the presidency in Chile.

With over 99% of polling stations reporting, Kast garnered 58.17% of the ballots, beating leftist contender Jeannette Jara, who obtained 41.83%.
This represents Kast's third bid for the presidency, having in the past been lost by the incumbent president, Gabriel Boric, in the 2021 second round.
