The former president's Granddaughter Receives Professional Tips from Tiger Woods Prior to Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star has considerable online presence
Kai Trump can count on plenty of well-known supporters when she starts her LPGA debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a special exemption to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates multiple golf courses and often competes against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we have some close matches," she revealed.
She mentioned that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He basically suggested to go out there and enjoy myself," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on running the country, making him somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has competed in only three events this year and holds the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
But she's able to receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with her mother.
"He is the best player globally," Kai stated.
"And he's a superior person. He suggested me to play, relax, adapting to whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against multiple the biggest names in the sport at the competition, such as world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Officials mentioned that involving Kai exposes the sport to new audiences, especially among youth audiences.
Kai has a massive following and just introduced a personal fashion and living company.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
