David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.

The comedian

Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.

A representative for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an investigation into allegations of questionable actions involving women.

The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.

He has published more than 40 books in total, including a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.

This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
