British tennis star Emma Raducanu wraps up this year's campaign and plans to retain coach through next year.

Emma Raducanu advanced to round three in three of the four major tournaments this year.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain has pulled out of her final two events in 2025 as a result of a medical condition that has affected her for the last week and a half.

At 22 years old had planned to participate in Tokyo and Hong Kong but chose to travel back to regain her health before starting plans for the 2026 season.

Her upcoming training are set to feature trainer Francisco Roig, as the pair have agreed to work together again next season.

She had her blood pressure taken while playing the initial match against Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and retired when behind 6-1 4-1 on a very muggy occasion.

She needed once more a doctor's assessment at the Ningbo Open this week, where she was defeated in three sets to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in the opening round.

Her movement was noticeably restricted in the third set against Zhu due to the lower back problem that has affected her at times this year.

These outcomes signaled a promising season, in which Raducanu rose into the world's top 30 after a long gap since her previous ranking, finished with a trio of defeats.

The athlete was close to victory with three match points prior to falling to Pegula in the third stage in the Beijing tournament last month.

She secured 28 matches during 2025 and made it to the semi-final round in Washington, but her most impressive week was at the Miami Open in March.

As Britain's top player reached the quarter-finals of a premier WTA event, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed during the tournament prior to a loss in three sets to Pegula, ranked fourth.

Her coach was Mark Petchey from Miami until Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role ahead of the US Open.

The initial agreement with Rafael Nadal's former coach was until the end of the season but the partnership will continue, with a training block pencilled in in the coming months.

She mentioned that her three-day trial with Roig post-Wimbledon was like a "covert operation" as they aimed to maintain secrecy.

She came very close to beating world number one Aryna Sabalenka at the first competition with Roig in Cincinnati during August.

Roig was also with Raducanu in the New York tournament, where she advanced to round three before being beaten by Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
